Dr. Leibowitz is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also a Certified Medical Director, certification granted by the American Medical Directors Association. His experience includes having served as a Medical Director of a 400 bed nursing home, Medical Director of a consortium of Department of Health regulated ambulatory care rehabilitation facilities, and Medical Director of Ambulatory Care Services of a Rehabilitation Hospital. He has served on the faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, and concurrently served as an Attending Physician at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
Dr. Leibowitz has been in active clinical practice for more than 20 years. He is on the medical staff of New York hospitals and provides patient care services in nursing homes. A graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program at Temple University Hospital, he also obtained post-graduate residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Long Island Jewish Medical Center: an academic campus of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Biology, Magna Cum Laude. He is published in the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation.
